Extraordinary: The Life You Were Meant To Live by John Bevere
John Bevere is an excellent bible teacher. Our church's bible college is using this material for it's upcoming semester. We have the DVD's teachings as well as John's workbook/devotional...and now I can add this book to the collection. John takes the truths of the bible to a new level. Scripture you've heard and known, take on new and transformative meaning. After all the opposite of extraordinary is...well normal. In this book, John argues rightly that there is an innate desire in all of us to rise above commonness. We yearn for the "extraordinary". John develops this further to look at the way we reflect the nature of God and sets out on a journey to fully understand the extraordinary way God wants us to live.
Powerfully impactful chapter content includes: unconditional love, pleasing God, and knowing God's will for our life. He tells us our goals will not be accomplished without prayer and faith (which believers know), but we also have to search for our personal roles in God's will. This is an excellent book, that I'm looking forward to partnering with the DVD materials to teach my bible college students.
