Angels are for Real by Judith MacNutt
I have always been intrigued with angels and have believed in them....and I've had a few encounters with them too. "Angels are for Real" is a fascinating book by Judith MacNutt, who uses several Scriptural references, as well as real life encounters of others' experiences with angelic beings. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.
Publisher Description: Angels have a vital role in the Kingdom of God--and in the lives of believers. Yet many Christians treat the existence of angels lightly or fail to consider them at all. In Angels Are Real Judith MacNutt pulls back the curtain on this intriguing topic, recounting inspiring, true-life stories and miraculous interactions, revealing what the Bible says about these heavenly beings, and offering insight into the spiritual realm. She draws on solid scriptural support to explore what angels look like what they do why they are important in believers' lives the heavenly hierarchy what fallen angels are and more. Angels Are Real is an accessible, comprehensive, encouraging guide for Christians. When believers grasp the importance of angels to God--and themselves--they will better understand God's power and his extraordinary love.
Author Bio: Judith MacNutt, MA, who worked as a clinical psychologist in private practice and at several hospitals in Boston, has for decades joined psychotherapy with healing prayer. Spirit Wars: Winning the Invisible Battle Against Sin and the Enemy by Kris Vallotton
When the opportunity came to be able to read and review this book, I jumped on it because I'm fascinated with all thing to do with spiritual warfare. This book did not disappoint. Kris Vallotton not only tells his own story but gives readers what they need to fight the Spirit Wars of their lives and succeed. Vallotton using many passages of Scripture about fighting Spirit Wars, including the Armor of God and beyond to show how heroes of the faith faced opposition and battled spiritual forces. This is a highly recommended book for all believers...there is a war going on in the Spirit realm every day and we need to be prepared for battle.
Publisher Description: Just as enemies fought Joshua in the Promised Land, and Nehemiah faced opposition as he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, our enemy will fight us as we approach the spiritual terrain God has promised us. Most Christians retreat at the first sign of conflict because they fail to recognize the true nature of the battle. But you can prevail in freedom and joy.
Sharing his deeply personal story of demonic bondage, torment and ultimate deliverance, pastor and bestselling author Kris Vallotton turns the idea of spiritual warfare as we know it on its head. He reveals the diabolical lies and strategies of the enemy--attacks and traps so subtle and deceptive that we may find our souls and hearts imprisoned without even knowing it.
No more! Now you can win the invisible battle against sin and the enemy. Victory is within your grasp. Will you take hold?

Miracle for Jen: A Tragic Accident, a Mother's Desperate Prayer, and Heaven's Extraordinary Answer By: Linda Barrick
In this incredible story of the Barrick family, you definitely see that God is still alive, well and in the miracle working business. This story will touch every part of your being. What an amazing true story of God's awesome power.
Miracle for Jen, tells the story of the car accident the Barrick family experienced and how in a moment's time life can take a huge change. Linda Barrick, tells the story of how an accident totally transformed her family's life. She testifies to the goodness of God throughout the entire incident and how God is continuing to work in, among and through her family, especially, daughter Jen. After 5 weeks in a coma, Jen emerged from her coma to not recognize anyone and to hardly be able to talk...in the natural. The most amazing part of this time was that when Jen was praising and praying or speaking to Jesus, it was as if nothing had ever happened to her...she was totally restored in her conversations with the Lord. In fact, upon awakening from her coma, Jen was speaking directly to the Lord in absolute clearly communicated words. The story of the journey that Jen was on and continues on to this day, will strengthen any reader's belief that in Christ we can do all things.
The middle section of the book contains photos of Jen and her family during the recovery from the accident. While looking at this section, I became even more drawn to the story (I always check out photo lay-outs in a book before I begin reading) because I recognized, Linda Barrick's father (Jen's grandfather) Ed Hindson because several years ago (almost 10 years ago) I sat under some of Ed Hindson's teachings in a former church, which of course formed a 'connection' with this family's story. Whether there was a connection because of knowing any of this family or not, this is a powerful story.
